METALKOTE EPOXY PRIMER EDP-551 is a two component epoxy primer anti-corrosion protective coatings for all types of steel construction and steel components in rural industrial environment.

Application Procedures :
Surface preparation
- Clean the surface of substrate from rust, oil and other contaminant.
- In case of new steel, abrasive sand blasting to minimum Sa 2½ in accordance with the SWEDISH STANDARD SIS 05 59 00 and ISO 8501 – 1 : 1988 or SSPC – SP – 10 by using suitable primer coat, METALKOTE EPOXY PRIMER EDP-551.
Application process
- Stir thoroughly component A METALKOTE EPOXY PRIMER EDP-551, add hardener / component B, with weight ratio 9 : 1. Then stir thoroughly
- Add Propan Thinner Epoxy according to application requirement, then stir thoroughly.
- Do not apply this paint mixture after 4 hours.
- Apply this paint mixture METALKOTE EPOXY PRIMER EDP-551 by brush / spray / roll.
- Leave it dry minimum 6 hours, before the next application of suitable finish coat, METALKOTE POLYURETHANE TOP COAT PUT-603 (depends on air temperature and humidity)
